Welcome to Music Instruction Studio "Classya"
Gradus ad Parnassum With each prospective student, we outline the goals: childhood exposure to music, performance in school, studying for a hobby or a career. The benefits of music are numerous, the goals are inspiring, -- but the road to the summit of your dream is just as fascinating as the destination. The study of music mobilizes our senses and stimulates minds, builds character and confidence. It is a journey of discovery, and then mastery of what we discover. Curricula, Styles of Music and Repertoire “When I hear music… I am related to the earliest times, and to the latest.” -- H.D. Thoreau The treasury of culture that we are enjoying today has accumulated over centuries, evolving from the Renaissance to Contemporary time. In each historic period, the musical style, characterized by specific technical means and artistic ideas, was formed..
For a well-rounded musician,.a balanced diet of styles is important. Together with the student, we tailor the curriculum to suit their individuality and pace of study. Focus on your favorite music (ex. Classical or Jazz), yet feel welcome to explore other styles. To read more, visit the Piano or Guitar page.
