Benefits of Starting Early
Over the past few decades, early childhood music programs have earned well-deserved popularity. The baby's first acquaintances with music, for centuries provided by moms and grandmas, are now carried out by trained professionals. Mrs. Mirvis has a special training in ECM and brings a wealth of experience to working with the youngest students.
While it is righteously claimed that early exposure to music helps children succeed in core school subjects, music itself barely needs such advocacy. Even in its simplest forms, music is one of the most remarkable achievements of mankind. Through music, young children happily learn the basic elements of all subjects: patterns, structure, and logic. They build auditory and visual connections while developing memory, imagination, and fine motor skills.
Starting early is a win-win for children and parents, promising a long-term upbringing and educational success. Spontaneous learners and imitators, children quickly absorb information and gain new skills naturally. Soon, they want to create their own songs, pictures, sand castles.
To grow harmoniously in today's world, children should be involved in creating and socializing through music, arts and live play.
In our programs, children learn through a variety of gently structured activities.
If you consider starting piano or a small group lesson, contact Mrs. Mirvis to discuss what is best for your child.
